		<description><![CDATA[<p>The hot streak continues!  After a tough start to the season, the Wolverines have come together and are playing their best hockey yet. The Wolverines capped off 2010 with a three game winning streak. Picking up a win over St. Basils and two over Superior Heights, the Wolverines are heading into the new year with a full head of steam.</p>
<p>The Wolverines, led by Josh July, who has 15 points in 5 games, along with Sault Star Athlete of the Week honours, have started to find their offensive touch. 		<description><![CDATA[<p>Week three of the high school hockey league has been a lose-win-lose strike for White Pines.</p>
<p>White Pines first game during week 3 occurred on Friday, November 5th.  The game took place in Desbarats, at CASS.  Our defensive players were not doing very well during the first two periods letting in 5 goals.  #2 Zack Evans started White Pines come back during the third period.  Our offensive players then scored another 3 goals.  Our other goals were scored by #12 Josh July, #14 Cody Anderson, and #17 Dakota Boisseneau.  CASS took the win 5-4.</p>

<p>The second power play goal of the game was scored in the third period by #2 Zack Evans, assisted by #23 Aaron Vilaca.  The last White Pines goal of the game was at 5:41 and was scored by #17 Dakota Boissoneau assisted by #9 George DeFilice and #23 Aaron Vilaca.  The CASS Huskies went on to win the game at 2:51, the score being 8-7.  Both teams played an exceptional game, but there was certainly a lot more offense then there was defense.</p>
<p>Next game is on Wednesday, November 3<sup>rd</sup> against Superior Heights.</p>
<p>The results are in!  White Pines won their game against Superior Heights on Wednesday, Nobember 3<sup>rd</sup>!  #17 Dakota Boissoneau led off our victory with our first goal.  #5 Josh Boisvenue scored our second goal of the game, while #4 Nick Dupes scored the last two of the 4 White Pines goals!  We took victorious with a 4-3 win against Superior Heights!  Way to go Wolverines!</p>
<p>Next game is on Friday, November 5<sup>th</sup> at CASS.</p>

The girls started their season in a tournament in Sudbury, they lost their first game against the best team in Sudbury and won their second and third. Back home, the ladies won their first season game against Superior Heights Steelhawks with a score of 44-25! Their next regular season game was against the Korah Colts who they also they beat with a 31-18 score! The girl’s played a tough game, and played hard, against St. Basils coming out with a score of 30-39 for the Saints. Congratulations to the girls, so far they are doing a wonderful job, they have made much improvement from last year! White Pines is ]]></description>

The team’s 22-8 win was an excellent start to what will be a great season for the senior boys.  The stands were full with Wolverines showing their school spirit! During this hard playing game, Ben Muncaster came out with two touch downs and T-Plums pitched in with one touch down. I asked Ben Munc what he had to say about the game and he responded with, “Our team showed a lot of enthusiam out there.” And he’s right, our boys did show a lot of enthusiam on the field and they played a rightous game! The girls currently have a record of 4-3.  The girls are steadily improving and hope to make some noise come playoff time. Recently the girls experienced tremendous success in finishing second at the Sault College Cougar Classic Tournament and receiving silver medals. This was the second year in a row that the girls won silver medals at this tournament. The girls have 5 matches left in their regular season before playoffs begin. Also exciting for the majority of the team is the upcoming March break trip to Hawaii where the girls will participate in a volleyball tournament and they will also experience the Hawaiian culture. 		<description><![CDATA[<p>Our Jr. Girl&#8217;s volleyball team for the 2010 season consists of 12 players 5 grade 10 students; Jen Russell, Shelby Lesage, Emily Gregoire, Karina Gagne, Jayme Jones and 7 grade nine students Ali Frayne, Chrystal Coneybear, Whitney Zack, Ali Holley, Laura Boissoneau, Emily Aleksa, and Reanne Zack.  Our season started off a little rocky but is quickly showing improvement.  Our most recent battle against Sir James Dunn showed testament that we are not a team to be reckoned with.  We have 5 more games and the girls are ready and looking forward to the next challenger.  I anticipate a productive and enjoyable second half of the season.  At the end of the month we will venture to Sudbury for a tournament which I know the girls ]]></description>
